7 Ways You Can Create a BIG Life – Carl Harvey

Carl Harvey Awesomeness Fest The Big Life

As host of The Big Life I host weekly private training sessions with the biggest personal growth experts on the planet – including Bob Proctor, Dr Joe Vitale, Christie Marie Sheldon, Lisa Nichols, Robert Greene, Vishen Lakhiani, Laura Silva, Carol Tuttle, John Assaraf… and many, many more.
All of this awesome training is geared to help you achieve one goal:
To help you create YOUR version of a “Big Life” – a fun life filled with abundance, happiness, purpose, passion, success, joy and more love than you can handle.
And – yes – champagne :-)

Here are the 7 biggest lessons I’ve learned from these amazing teachers so far:

1You need to have a vision (and be in love with it!)

If you want to create a big life – filled with more abundance, happiness, passion, love and success – the first thing you gotta do is decide what you really want.
Problem is, most people’s idea of a “vision” is focussing on what they don’t want – from “I don’t want to be in debt” to “I don’t want to be overweight anymore”.
Here’s why this sucks: we get more of what we focus on, so focussing on lack only creates more lack. Avoid this approach at all costs!
The key is to have a vision that inspires you… a vision so exciting and sexy and YOU that you simply fall in love with it and can’t stop dreaming about it. (It’s gotta be this exciting to help you overcome the inevitable challenges you’ll encounter on your road to success.)
Also, write your vision down. Bob Proctor told me there’s magic in getting your goals on paper.
Just try it. And go back to your goals some time later. You’ll see!

2. Work with your subconscious mind

The worst advice I’ve heard in personal growth is to simply “take massive action” – because, until you’re ready to succeed, this usually leads to self-sabotage, procrastination, and deeper feelings of inadequacy.
This isn’t your fault… it’s because of a fundamental misunderstanding of how our minds work.
Here’s the problem: most people only set goals at the conscious level, which neuroscience is proving to limit us to just 1-5% of our total resources. This means that 95-99% of our resources are accessed through the subconscious mind – yet most of us ignore this completely!
What this means is if we want to create MORE income, love, happiness – or anything else – in our life, wefirst need to work on our subconscious beliefs. That’s where we’ll get the most leverage and biggest results.
As Dr Bruce Lipton from Stanford University says – your subconscious mind “ultimately casts the deciding vote” on your level of success and happiness, because it’s “a million times more powerful”. Imagine that!
So, all you gotta do is make sure you’re working on a plan to reprogram your subconscious mind.
Speaking of which…

3. Practice Creative Visualization (daily)

Creative Visualization is the art and science of imagining what you want to create – in vivid, sensory-rich, “high definition” levels of detail.
The reason this is so powerful is because – as Dr Maxwell Maltz wrote in his classic book Psycho Cybernetics:
Your subconscious mind “Cannot tell the difference between what’s real, and what’s imagined.”
What this means is you can TRICK your subconscious mind into believing you’re more successful / happy / rich / sexy / loveable than you actually are – simply by imagining yourself that way, in vivid detail.
It’s a wonderful quirk of our nervous system, but it really does work. You can use visualisation to boost yourconfidence, skills, happiness, abundance, energy – and more.
The keys are repetition (practice every day for a few minutes), vividness (use ALL the senses when you imagine – including touch, smells, hearing etc) and emotions (the stronger the positive emotion you can summon, the better results.)
More than 200+ studies prove that visualisation works… so get visualizing!
living big and rich

4. Take Inspired Action

This is where things get really FUN.
Most folks worry themselves silly and give up on their goals, because they “don’t have a plan” to get there.
But here’s the good news: when you have a compelling vision, and you work on your subconscious beliefs by visualizing every day (steps 1-3), you open yourself up to receive ideas, insights, hunches and “flashes of inspiration” from the universe – ideas which you can quickly and effortlessly put into action.
As Dr Joe Vitale taught me,
“The next step is always revealed”. Always. ALWAYS!!
So don’t worry about having a master-plan. Instead, focus on your vision, and take action on the ideas that inevitably float into your consciousness.
Then rinse… repeat… and keep following the hunches ‘til you reach your goal. Simple!

5. Go Zen

I’ll keep this one short and simple:
More than 2000 studies prove that meditation has countless benefits for body and mind. This is indisputable – it will have a HUGE positive impact on your life.
But it’s not just good for your wellbeing – from a “success” perspective, meditating puts you in flow, increases your creativity, makes you feel mentally stronger, helps you become more present, boosts your focus and productivity – and makes you a nicer person to be around. (And much more.)
That’s why if you want to be the best version of yourself, I invite you to make meditation part of your daily routine.
(And if you think meditating is tough, consider the alternative – that the voice in your head you can’t seem to shut up during meditation will be running your life; unchallenged; on autopilot, FOREVER … unless you learn how to quieten it down – by meditating! Pretty humbling, right?)

6. GIVE More

When The Secret’s Bob Proctor came on my show he revealed about 1000 ideas which blew my mind and made me wish he was my grandfather.
But the best of all of them was you cannot out-give the universe.
I love this idea – at its simplest it means we should stop chasing what we want, stop trying to GET it, and instead focus on giving as much value as we can.
Give love. Give appreciation. Give better service. Give a better product. Give more time. Give more attention. Give more awesomeness. Give more compliments. Give give give give give.
Give whatever you want to receive more of.
When you shift to that level of focus, abundance starts to magnetize in your life.
It took me a long time to truly *get* this, but the more value you provide, the more money you’ll make (and the better you’ll feel about it.)

7. Have A Kick-Ass Daily Routine

I wish this final strategy was sexier, but it’s crucial – literally every guest I’ve had on The Big Life, from John Assaraf to Lisa Nichols, has stressed to me the importance of having a kick-ass daily routine.
Why? Because it builds confidence, progress, flow… and MOMENTUM.
My daily routine includes meditation, visualization, writing down a page of things I’m grateful for, and heading to the gym to get my sweat on. Oh – and gangsta rap. (It always gets me psyched up and ready to take action.) But yours can be different – obviously, the hiphop is optional – but the key is to do something EVERY DAY that puts you in a PEAK state.
Then, from that level of “higher” consciousness, you can go about your day, kicking ass and being the best version of you you can be.
Do this enough times…. and you’ll end up with your “Big Life”, filled with abundance and purpose and passion and all the other awesomeness you desire.
Peace!

Rohn: This is how you leave a legacy

Rohn: This Is How vou Leave a Legacy

Jim Rohn shares nine principles necessary for a successful life and a lasting legacy.

Jim Rohn, the philosopher who has left an indelible legacy of time-proven principles and wisdom, shares his secret for making an impact.   "You know me, I am a philosopher. I love principles. Yes, actions are great and I talk about them regularly, but the important stuff is what lies underneath—the principles," Rohn says.

Here are the principles he says we must commit to in order to leave the legacy we desire:
1. Life is best lived in service to others. This doesn’t mean that we do not strive for the best for ourselves. It does mean that in all things we serve other people, including our family, co-workers and friends.

2. Consider others’ interests as important as your own. Much of the world suffers simply because people consider only their own interests. People are looking out for number one, but the way to leave a legacy is to also look out for others.

3. Love your neighbor even if you don’t like him. It is interesting that Jesus told us to love others. But he never tells us to like them. Liking people has to do with emotions. Loving people has to do with actions. And what you will find is that when you love them and do good by them, you will more often than not begin to like them.

4. Maintain integrity at all costs. There are very few things you take to the grave with you. The number one thing is your reputation and good name. When people remember you, you want them to think, “She was the most honest person I knew. What integrity.” There are always going to be temptations to cut corners and break your integrity. Do not do it. Do what is right all of the time, no matter what the cost.

5. You must risk in order to gain. In just about every area of life you must risk in order to gain the reward. In love, you must risk rejection in order to ask that person out for the first time. In investing you must place your capital at risk in the market in order to receive the prize of a growing bank account. When we risk, we gain. And when we gain, we have more to leave for others.

6. You reap what you sow. In fact, you always reap more than you sow—you plant a seed and reap a bushel. What you give you get. What you put into the ground then grows out of the ground. If you give love you will receive love. If you give time, you will gain time. It is one of the truest laws of the universe. Decide what you want out of life and then begin to sow it.

7. Hard work is never a waste. No one will say, “It is too bad he was such a good, hard worker.” But if you aren’t they will surely say, “It’s too bad he was so lazy—he could have been so much more!” Hard work will leave a grand legacy. Give it your all on your trip around the earth. You will do a lot of good and leave a terrific legacy.

8. Don’t give up when you fail. Imagine what legacies would have never existed if someone had given up. How many thriving businesses would have been shut down if they quit at their first failure? Everyone fails. It is a fact of life. But those who succeed are those who do not give up when they fail. They keep going and build a successful life—and a legacy.

9. Don’t ever stop in your pursuit of a legacy. Many people have accomplished tremendous things later on in life. There is never a time to stop in your pursuit of a legacy. Sometimes older people will say, “I am 65. I’ll never change.” That won’t build a great life! No, there is always time to do more and achieve more, to help more and serve more, to teach more and to learn more. Keep going and growing that legacy! These are core principles to live by if you want to become the kind of person who leaves a lasting legacy.

Jim Carrey's Secret of Life - An Inspiring Message...

"There is no reality except the one contained within us" -Hermann Hesse."
"Within each of us there is a silence, a silence as vast as the universe. And when we experience that silence, we remember who we are." - Gunilla Norris.
In order to have a greater experience of ourselves and life we must become masters of meaning. We have to trust that there is a greater plan for us and that life's challenges really are asking us to become more and for us to find the higher meaning. This higher meaning takes us to experience and remember our true self. We are constantly being guided to live a life that is an expression of our unlimited potential as this is our true nature. All perceived negative events and situations we create are for the purpose of returning us to balance within ourselves and the universe. As there is no separation between the two. All is connected within the universe and cosmos. Life has a propensity towards balance and you can fight it as much as you like with the ego however the tiger just comes closer to you until you decide to look it in the eye and make one of two choices - love or fear. And fear ultimately will only lead to more pain while love will only lead to more pleasure. What is for your highest good is also for another's as we all are one moving back towards unconditional love. This is found in the 'now' which is always the perfect moment and absolute truth. You must trust, love and know that there is a divine plan and everything is happening perfectly for you to fully remember who you are and for you to express your unlimited potential. You must consciously choose to follow this path!!!
The heart knows and by listening to it lies your deepest answers. By silencing the mind through stillness, letting go and taking away judgement you can connect with a source that guides you, fills you and knows that you are here for a purpose and you do have special gifts to share with the world. We are all free and like birds we were not meant to be caged. We were born to fly! Make each day better than the last by deciding it to be that way. Decisions based in love lead to the life you were born and deserve to live. There is a shift in evolution happening and people realise now more than ever that it is time to get busy living the life that truly reflects their highest ideals about who they are and what they are capable of. Today is the day!!! Blessings.

Mid-Week Motivation

Setting clear goals + repeating them every single day + using powerful physiological movements while repeating your goals (I would suggest doing this in the morning) + Unshakeable belief + Taking absolute massive action = An integration of your goals into your nervous system and a coherence with the universe for your goals to become YOUR reality!!!
Every single result is being produced from your mind so once you a clear on what you want, make it the most compelling future so it pulls you towards it, then integrate the emotions of certainty and belief of having already achieved your goals into your nervous system, this will activate a part of your brain that will allow you to notice things that perhaps you didn't notice before and send you the circumstances, people and events for you to step up and achieve it. You have to think BIG!!!! Two different people can see the same building and someone who for example does not see themselves as successful might think 'oh they look like nice windows to clean I might ask them for a job' . While someone with a bigger mindset will see the same building and think 'Im am going to own that building one day..what can I do to own it?' and those two people will take completely different actions just simply based on their beliefs about who they are and what they are capable of. This creates a completely different destiny for those 2 people.
The quality of your life is based on the quality of questions you ask yourself. Instead of asking why does this always happen to me? Why did they do that to me? ask yourself better questions like what do I want? How can I make it how I want it? How can I solve this? What do I have to believe to solve this? What is the meaning I can choose from this to empower me to feel and experience what I want? We cannot always control what happens in our lives but what we CAN control is the meaning that we give those things that have happened. You must believe and have faith that there is ALWAYS a higher meaning for what happens if not in the present most certainly there is one for the future. So sometimes you just have to trust that there is a divine plan, there is a supreme destiny for us all and that life is happening for us. Could it be that it is for us to know, be and remember ourselves as unconditional love? For us to remember and experience the oneness that we share between us all? To reconcile any perceived separation between others that we may experience? Have an outstanding week! Peace, love and harmony
